Loistavas

Loistavas was once the center of the dwarven empire on Tourgase. Now the entire area is submerged by several thousands of feet of water and earth. Attempts have been made to explore the ruins since the Breaking, but most have ended in not more but scratching the surface of the old city.

History

Loistavas was a wonder of the ancient world the likes of which little else could rival. Founded 1589 PB, the city was as much an architectural challenge as it was a home to millions. The city quickly grew to encompass the natural caves under the Voltava Mountains of Tourgase. More and more of the stone was carved away until the greater city occupied an enormous cavern spanning nearly 5 miles across. Great pillars of stone held the lofty ceiling high while structures crawled up them and caverns sides. In the centuries that followed, the city expanded into major arteries following several veins of precious minerals and valuable materials. Great constructors where built to assist in the ever-going excavations, marking a crowning achievement of the dwarves of old. In the century leading up to the Breaking, plans were laid to carve a tunnel under the Encombric Ocean to connect Loistavas to the far of DeShattue coast as the city began to butt up against the confines of the coastal shelfs.

Geography

Loistavas of today reflects very little of it's old grandeur. Now buried at the bottom of the Loistavan Sea, the ruins of Loistavas are buried under the remains of the Voltava Mountains and thousads of feet of water. The subaquatic terrain is jagged, full of fissures, and dotted with peaks of spires and the remains of the great support pillars of the old city. Vents in gathered sedemint spew noxious gases into the water making parts of theLoistavan Sea incredibly dangerous before wildlife and the remains of the city's autonomations are considered.
