Baron
A Baron is a governmental figure of the cities of Sladovia. They act as sole ruler of their assigned city. When appointed they are typically the oldest educated individual at that time, as the elders are thought to have the most wisdom.
Qualifications
To become a Baron the an individual must have served as a lord and have completed their education.
Requirements
The requirements to become a baron are, the previous baron has been promoted or has died, barons must be a human, dwarf, of halfing. There has to be at least one baron of each race in case a councilor becomes deceased.
Appointment
The Councilors will appoint the chosen individual to Baron through a letter sent to the individual.
Duties
The barons duties are to ensure that the city they control remains under control, to communicate with other barons on the basis of trade, and to protect the city from foreign threats.
Responsibilities
- Create laws to control and protect citizens and industry within a city
- Act as supreme judge and appoint a supreme jury
- Oversee that the industrial complex is working smoothly
- Appoint Lords to controlled towns.

Barons often receive generous pay, are given housing, and guarded at all times.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Barons wear a different color depending on the city. Chitina barons wear black for the soot made in their forges. Barons in Mahisy wear blue for the ocean they sail on, Kivertrov barons wear green, for the forests surrounding them, and Drangholt barons wear red to warn the FIC that they are dangerous.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
A baron will be removed or dismissed upon death or promotion to councilor
