Magus Falls

Located south of The Village of Wreath and along the eastern edge of The Greater Cairnheels Magus Falls is the location of many splendid waterfalls and is the source of the @Eventide River and @Lake Kaelan. The Falls are without a doubt one of the most scenic areas in western Varda, and as a result many dryads, few, and other mystical creatures frequent its gorgeous scenery. Woe unto the traveler that despoils the location, for they will surely incur nature's wrath!

Geography

A series of between 5 and 7 different waterfalls depending on the time of year and rapidity of the snowmelt constitute the main falls, with some lesser cascades in various locations nearby. The large pool at the bottom of the falls is easily 1,500 ft. wide with several small slivers of land in that central reservoir. The surrounding lands are extremely fertile as a result.

Fauna & Flora

Many plants benefit from the near constant stream of water that flows from the falls, as well as plenty of fish like salmon, trout, bass, and catfish to name a few.   Bears of all kinds are frequent visitors; naturally, many different animals frequent the area as well, not simply at the base of the Falls. Among the more spectacular residents are dryads, nymphs, and centaurs of many different varieties. One nymph in particular, @the Queen of the Falls is said to give either her blessing to the worthy or her enduring scorn to more unruly, perhaps sinister, visitors. Some accounts even purport that she can call on a particularly powerful dragon of unknown variety as a guardian when necessary.

Natural Resources

Many mamals and reptiles enjoy the plentitude of water available to them at the falls and are therefor also susceptible to being hunted by passersby or people who live in the area. They are told to take only the bare minimum by locals and more experienced rangers in the area or face the wrath of very angry Fey and other entities.
