Corwyn Farm

The heirloom farm of the Corwyn Family is the jewel of Wreath. Producing more wheat than the next nearest village, it's easily Wreath's largest asset and the largest single employer in the whole town. It truly is a sight to see towards the end of the harvest season when the wind ripples through the golden tide of wheat.

Purpose / Function

This is the place of residence for Tom and Brenna Corwyn as well as their children Lan, _____, and _____ . Their farm is the largest in all of The Village of Wreath and they employ more than a few farmhands to help them with the work. Of particular note is William and Edwina Norfolk, who live in the barn just behind the Corwyn House, a short walk towards The Wreathwood. They're an older couple who live with their grandchildren and Tom allows them to stay there since they lost their son and his wife in the Great Storm of 960.

Architecture

The fields are oriented diagonally to the slope of the hill so as to avoid excessive erosion and too much channeling from the waterflow from the rows of wheat. All of the fields are currently in use and Tom has considered adding more along the hillside and possible asking the men of the lumbermill to cut into the forest to provide more space. Wreath is a growing town after all.   The farmhouse itself is of a wattle and daub construction with a clean whitewash and thatch roof. It has a second story and an open manger is attached to the southern road-facing side of the house.

History

Build by Tom's Grand father, this farm along with the house is the pride and joy of Tom and his ancestors. "It's well and good to feed yourself, but giving food to others is giving life. Never forget this." Words from Pappy Barret.
