Rokosao

The Rokosaoan people value neutrality and nature above all else. Nature is harsh and only the strong can survive, is a common saying here.

Demographics

90% of Rokosaoans are Coquíans
7% are Anabaguass
3% are other races.

Government

Each inhabitant of age vote when a decision is made and there isn't a ruler of the village. The people usually vote as Siria does however and they look to her for guidance in most decisions.

Defences

The dangers of the jungle surrounding the village is protection enough from hostile forces. They also lay traps that only the inhabitants know the location of. During nights there's always a fire burning at the edges of the town not facing the river so that the guard can seee anyone coming and hopefully scare away terrifying beasts.

Industry & Trade

The Coquíans acts as spiritual leaders and funeral directors for the people that seek them out. They also createand maintain zemis and are called for to quell unfriendly spirits.

Infrastructure

The river is vital for the village. It is used for many purposes. The people communily takes care of the village but it has little to no infrastructure. Only trampled paths eases the movement of people walking around. There is a wooden bridge at the edge of the town, crossing the river.

Points of interest

Tourism

People wanting to commune with the spirits or seeking guidance regarding them or death visit the village and Siria. Some of the Anabaguas come to the village for friendly exchanges or for discussions about the protection of Chee´.

Architecture

The huts in the village have the traditional round shape but are raised on large poles to keep of the wet riverside jungle floor. Each hut fits around 5 groups living together with a communal hearth in the middle, the same but smaller than the typical homestead of Boricubos. The walls are made of mangrove wood and the roofs of layers and layers of large leaves, waterproofed using tree sap. The village also has a larger tree hut for storage purposes. Buildings have a green or brown color depending on the wood and natural coating but people decorate them by growing colorful flowers along their walls.

Geography

The village sits by the side of a larger river called Wet´et´i inside the deep Chee´ jungle. Tightly surrounded by mostly mangrove but also Tabonuco Wood, ferns, beehive ginger, hibiscus and other plants common to the deep jungles of Boricubos.

Natural Resources

There are many fruits and plants with medicinal or nutritional worth. The trees of the deep jungle are very durable and used to create tools and canoes but also carved into beautiful objects and potent zemis. There's also alot of animals that are hunted for food or utility.
