Vóþon Þirmon is a writer from New Þamta, known for his books and poems related to þiðan culture and nationalism, most notably Hjin-Þ'iþí ve Ajo Nóði. He is of þiðan descent through his paternal grandmother, Vave Þirmon.
He was born in New Tamþías, capital of New Þamta, to the actor Vef Þirmon and painter Azóa Þirmon, and became fascinated by þiðans and their traditions through his grandmother's songs and stories at an early age. Vóþon's relationship with his parents growing up was more strained, however, who wanted him to embrace new þamtan culture such as the initiation ritual of Living As A Bear (which he passed) instead.
This friction, in addition to learning about the þiðans' often poor treatment by the new þamtans in the past while studying at the University of Þidírar, eventually lead Vóþon to reject new þamtan culture entirely, settle down in Nomþó and even adopt a new name.
Vóþon's involvement in þiðan nationalism has made him a controversial figure in New Þamta, and caused his family members outside Þidírar to distance themselves from him, everyone but Vóþon's younger sister Zótra. He remains a prolific writer, with many people liking his style more than the message.
