Gobeaks

Gobeaks represent a diverse family of birds in Boomal. Some live in the arid lands of the Golden Sea, while other hide in the tall grasses of the Blue Sea. They are not very large, live in small and spread groups, and eat many things, from tetrapuses or insects to seeds, roots, fruits.

Basic Information

Anatomy

gobeaks stand on all four, much like camporaptorids. They are however way smaller, with shorter limbs and small, sturdy beaks.

Ecology and Habitats

Two sister species live on each side of the Blue Sea: Mimiraptor azureus is in the east, and M. viridis is in the east. Four of them live in the Eastern Woodlands, and seven are recorded in parts of the Golden Sea, however the latter are discussed in the naturalist community for now, and more species could be distinguished in the future.
