Eastern Woodlands
In -35, as humans finally managed to cross The Bulwark Chain for the first time under the direction of Kalendos, they came into a rich country, full of woodlands and hills. There, they found plenty of wood, and game to hunt. These lands were a newfound paradise and soon, many people went to migrate to the eastern lands. lots of villages were built, but the Magissens who lived firsthand there were not so happy about these newcomers. The first contacts between the two societies quickly turned into aggressivity. The Magissens, who populated the south of the woodlands would not let humans cross to Lemiit Isthmus, and the first magissal war soon started.
Geography
The woodlands are a land of wide hills and ridges. From the flat center, hillsides spread in circles. Large rivers cross the land, that flow to the Zeeh Gulf many forests grow in the region, on hills and in flat valleys. In the south, Lemiit isthmus makes the link between the woodlands and the Golden Sea, and east of it, a long peninsula cuts the sea, and its low mountains offer chilly climates and ends in a string of islands in the ocean.
Fauna & Flora
The forests hold quite a number of trees and plants, some of which have interesting value.
Common wood and trees: Inkwood (Cucercus atramenta): a tree that posesses a dark sap, almost as black as ink. It is actually used to produce a pigment, but when first used, people saw that its refined sap is more of a dark red color.
Blackwood (Cucercus nera): a hard and dark wood used for crafting objects and construction.
Whitewood (Taxius albus): This wood is lighter, easy to cut and shape but not that resistant. It is mainly used for construction.
-> Most houses in the eastern woodlands are made in blackwood for structural integrity (frame, foundations), and whitewood for insulation, walls, ceiling, furniture...
Roverwood (Ephridis helicola): a wood with a very fine grain, however since it grows very slowly, it is not worth for construction. It is used for crafting objects, handles... Its name comes from its wide use in crafting walking staffs and other items made for travelers.
Seven-lobe permanth (Ephrys septis): this is a vine which makes light pink flower with seven long and colored petals (there are 8 of them (4 petals & 4 sepals), but one of the petals is smaller, curled in a pale tube that protects the stamens and pistil). People call it the seven-lobe permanth because the petals are permeable, filled with small holes, or the seven-lobed aetesweed, because it is toxic for Aetids. The forests make perfect habitats for lots of small birds, insects, snails and tetrapuses. Magical creatures also live in there, such as Gooloos, Gloots, and Sylves, which are endemic of the region.

Natural Resources
Wood from the forests, grain from the fields, aetid herds from the rolling hills and metals and ore from the cliffs and mines in the hills are all resoucres that can be exploited, and contribute to the region's small but steady part in global trade. Even if it's not the richest, or most populated of Boomal, it is still a nice place to live in for many.
