Arther Whitemount is the oldest child and heir of High Earl Edward Whitemount of Dregonvell and Charlotte Wreath. Arther enjoys a turbulent but loving relationship with his much younger sister Eleyna.
Appearance and Character
Arther is described as, at seventeen, already standing above his peers in physical prowess. He is a capable fighter, capitalising on his natural physicality. His shoulders are broad, his jawline defined. His appearance is very similar to that of his father, Edward. Bright green eyes and fair brown hair mark him easily as a Whitemount. His skin is a healthy brown from his time in the sun. He is a very ambitious individual, though not in terms of political aspirations. Instead, he strives to be the greatest he can possibly be, pushing his body to its limits to further his abilities in battle. He endeavours to learn all he can of ruling and chastises himself a little too harshly upon any hint of failure.Mental characteristics
Personal history
Born in 981 EL, he was the first child of Edward Whitemount's legitimate children and the first of Charlotte Wreath's. His birth secured the future of House Whitemount, as his father had no living brothers for the high earldom to pass to. At the time of his birth, his father was already high earl and had settled into ruling Dregonvell. Raised by a governess, as all noble children are, his mother insisted on playing a role in his upbringing. His father was also keen on stepping in where he could, though it was in an exclusively military capacity, as was his speciality. Arther's bastard half-brother, Simon, was 9 at Arther's birth and the two struggled to see eye to eye.
In 988 EL Arther's sister Eleyna was born. He has always been very protective of his sister, though the usual sibling spat wasn't uncommon.
Throughout his education, he excelled most at swordplay and fighting. Aside from his natural inclinations, his mentor, Sir Tristan Boldbrook, was once one of the greatest fighters in Eremere. The two formed a close bond, akin to a father and son. Similarly, Tristan's son Leo is Arther's best friend.
