Alina Van De Hout
Alina was born and grew up in the town of Oakedge, in the Kingdom of Veritria. Her father worked in the nearby mine, whilst her mother worked in the local bakery whilst not looking after Alina and her sister.
One evening, a group of soldiers, led by the Duke, came to Oakedge and burned the town to the ground. They killed almost all of the residence, taking a few prisoners. Alina managed to evade capture by hiding in a secret compartment under the floor of her house, though she couldn’t hide from the screams of the dying town’s people that haunt her to this day. Nobody from her family survived and she had to fend for herself for weeks.
