Burle

Burle is an inland settlement on the island of Strasnek. It is centered around a fortified keep that is the focus of the Royal Army defenses in the region. It is a smaller town than Strasnver but it is larger than Saltmarsh.
The main reason for its large garrison is to protect the south eastern settlements from the dark forces that are present in the Dreadwood. It is also useful as a place to watch over the Silverstrand a nearby forest home to a group of Wood Elves.

Government

The government  is overseen by a Castellan who is appointed by the Viceroy of Traxan. The Castellan is a military title, but also has control over the civil government as well, though he is assisted by an elected town council.
