Sector Command
Sector Command is the a starbase containing the centralized command chain of what is left of the Imperial Navy in Ilyxis. It is located in an orbit around the star Coriolis, somewhere between the orbits of Coriolis Alpha and Coriolis Beta.
Before the opening of the rift the Imperial Navy did not have a fixed command center, but operated from nearby sectors. They regularly send patrols or entire battlegroups into Ilyxis to keep a watchful eye on the expanding Imperial presence. In a stroke of luck for the sector, a Ramilies star fort was in the progress of being towed through a nearby section of space for reinforcement against the 13th black crusade. In the aftermath of the rift, it found it could no longer successfully reach its intended destination, and rallied to Coriolis together with what survived of its escort. It is this same star fort that now forms the basis of the the imperial defense, with much of its surviving escort vessels redeployed as Battlefleet Ilyxis .
In the decades since, it has seen extensive remodeling to better accommodate its new role, with new sections added to serve as docking spots for ships.
