The Wildlands
The Wildlands occupy the northern islands of Asgard as well as the north and west coast of the mainland around Mount Olomos.
The Wildlands used to have another name; but it has been lost. It was the land where the Carnage King made his own; or at least, he tried to, during the Nations War.
It is now mostly uninhabited, apart from the Dire beasts that have made it their home. The Gods say they have always been there, but the Humans of Asgard have their own stories. Some say they are the twisted forms of Canine Jotunborn though this story is not given much credence. The most accepted story is that they are the descendent of Fenrir, and Jormangandr though this has never explained the presence of the Dire Bears and Boars.
Adventurers use these land as proving ground, as to kill a Dire is considered a great achievement what with these creatures being typically bigger than a man. There is a shanty town at Kogeland, which these daredevils use as a base to organise hunting parties.
