Modi is the son of Thor, and the brother of Magni. Together with his brother they are said to embody the aspects of their father.

He has taken up the war aspect from his father and in the absence of Tyr as well has become the God of War, and now wields Mjolnir following the recovery of the hammer from the ruins of their fathers boat during Ragnarok.

He is the brother of Magni, the God of Strength.

He has a residence in Bilskirnir, but can be found mostly at Folkvangr with Freya, training troops.

Since the re-establishment of the Bifrost to Midgard, he now leader the contingent from Asgard.
