Freya Character in Beyond Ragnarok | World Anvil

Freya

Freya is a Vanir goddess who came to Asgard during the exchange of hostages following the Aesir-Vanir war along with her brother Frey and her father Njord, long before Rangarok. Freya is the embodiment of doing it all, and doing it well. A fertility godess like all Vanir, she specialises in passion which many stories are told about. But this isn't all she is; she is also a warrior, and before Ragnarok took half of the slain before even Odin Valkyries, for her own fighting force in Folkvangr. She is also a witch of incredible power, and first brought the art of magic to the Aesir, and ultimately also to mankind; her forces were said to have used magic to great affect on the battlefield at Ragnarok, as well as their swords and shields.

She is also the wife of the little known Odr; the missing God, and mother to Hnoss.

She survived Ragnarok and now leads Asgards fighting forces as queen of the Valkyries, and was the last to leave Midgard before Heimdall sealed off the higher realms, following picking up Sleipnir, who was stood by Odin's dead body not far from the bifrost entrance.
