Jotunborn Costume & Physreps in Beyond Ragnarok | World Anvil

Jotunborn Costume & Physreps

The Jotunborn are a race consisting of three different species; the Canine, the Reptilian and the Trollan. They are humanoid’s with animalist or Jotun features, descended from Jotun and their bestial offspring, such as Fenrir and Jormangandr. The Jotun blood was diluted over countless centuries, and they are now considered a race of their own.

They are can live from a normal Human lifespan, up to about 150 years.

The physrep requirements for playing a Jotunborn are laid out below, as these are the same for both of the realms Jotunborn can be from.

Realm specific information for Svartalfheim and Vanaheim in terms of costume can be found through the following links;

Jotunborn Castes Physrep Requirements

Below are outlined the different options for physrepping the different species via prosthetics, masks and makeup.

Canine

Canine Jotunborn can be created either with masks or prosthetics, and additional makeup.

As a minimum we expect a Canine to have ear prosthetics; either attached to their own ears, or combined with either a wig on top of the head/hair covering any fixings, and full facial makeup that mimics a wolf.

Other options are facial prosthetics which enhance the nose and brows, teeth caps, coloured contacts, tails, claws, facial masks and full head masks.

NOTE: If using anything over/around the eyes, please make sure you have sufficient vision to enable you to move and fight safely.

Reptilian

Reptilian Jotunborn can be created either with masks or prosthetics, and additional makeup.

As a minimum we expect a Reptilian to have their hair covered; either with a mask, or other covering (reptiles don’t have hair), and/or full facial makeup that mimics a reptile.

Other options are facial prosthetics which enhance the nose and brows, coloured contacts, tails, claws, and full head pieces.

NOTE: If using anything over/around the eyes, please make sure you have sufficient vision to enable you to move and fight safely.

NOTE: Reptilian Jotunborn are NOT dragons. Ridges/horns/spines on the head are perfectly fine, but they do not have wings!

Trollan

Trollan Jotunborn can be created either with masks or prosthetics, and additional makeup.

As a minimum we expect a Trollan to have teeth prosthetics on the bottom jaw, and prosthetics which enlarge the ears, plus makeup that colours the skin away from pink.

Other options are facial prosthetics which enhance the nose and brows, coloured contacts, facial masks and full head masks.

NOTE: If using anything over/around the eyes, please make sure you have sufficient vision to enable you to move and fight safely.

NOTE: Trollan are NOT Orcs, and as such Orc masks should not be used for them.
