Temple of the Gods

Located in the south of Stockcross this temple acts as a communal hub of worship for the numerous gods in Beru. Each day in a tenday is dedicated to a different deity.   The main building is the largest single structure in the city, with steep walls of siltstone that climb to over 100ft high to a peaked slate-covered apex an additional 50ft above that. The temple is over 80ft wide and streaches nearly 200ft long. The walls are lined with tall windows of stained glass, each one depicting a different deity that is worshipped here. Inside the main atrium is supported by rows of tall coloumns carved with decorative patterns to create the illusion of more space. These pillars of white stone are wrapped in coloured fabrics that reflect the deity being worshipped that day:   Red - Alo, the god of warfare, strategy & justice. Blue - Marina, goddess of water, rivers and the seas. Green - Tellurayve, father of hunters, farmers and god of wildlife. Purple - Exalliot, god of knowledge and wisdom Gold - Gelbrand, god of craftsmen and innovation Brown - Ilusi, goddess of magic Orange - Millianna, goddess of the sun White - Shadrona, goddess of the moon Black - Sirra, the goddess of death No fabric - The Hidden, deity of fate and luck.   These colours are rotated throughout the month to give honour to the numerous deities worshipped in this part of the world. Worshippers of a specific deity can come here on any day to give praise in seperate chambers if needed. Those who follow deities not represented here are welcome, but are placed into seperate spaces away from the main atrium for privacy. Nobles and elite citizens often donate gold to have their own spaces away from the common folk.    The temple is responsible for the funerals of many of the citizens within Stockcross and often will hold mass communion on days for the deceased.
