Marina

Marina is the goddess of water & storms in all forms throughout Beru and is worshipped in the Driston Empire, the Kingdom of Breaton, many of the wild settlements and free cities.

Worship of Marina common in towns that have docks or rivers running through their boundries. Before ships set sail it is customary for the captain to give an offering in her name for safe passage and smooth sailing. Devout captains will strip down and offer themselves to her mercy during storms as a sign of faith.

A common symbol of worship is to wear a glass teardrop pendant with water trapped inside around the neck. Her temples are built to face the nearest source of water and have roofs that conpluviums for rainwater or seaspray. Offerings left at these holy sites are normally bounties from water such as fish & clay figurines of seabeasts. Her colour is blue
