Funeral Rites in Beru

Alo :
When those who follow Alo pass on into the next life they are laid to rest with a weapon of theirs. This is placed on the chest with the left hand atop the right to symbolise the resting of the weapon. Even those who have never fought are granted this rite, and often have a weapon made in preparation for their death.
  Exalliot:
The God of knowledge's followers are often buried in simple graves with a quote of knowledge carved into the tombstone. High scholars who dedicate their lives to Exalliot are often buried with a tome that was significant to them in their life.
  Gelbrand:
Worshippers of Gelbrand are gifted items from friends and family at their passing. The ceremony is joyous and full of festivities with children being given toys and puzzle boxes, adults swap tips and blueprints relevent to the recipient.
  Ilusi:
When those who follow Ilusi pass they are taken to the local mage, or travel to a well known arcane magic user, to recieve their rites. This arcane caster will perform a small ritual, speaking prayers and offering kind words to the deceased, before using their magic to reuinite the body with Ilusi. What remains of the body is then returned to the family in an urn embossed with her symbol.
  Marina:
When Marina's followers die they are given a sea burial. The body is prepared with oils, herbs and wrapped in seaweed or kelp and then placed into the sea. Their body is tied to a large stone to keep them under the waves while Marina's creatures take the body back to the ocean.
  Millianna:
Millianna's followers are placed atop a large pyre of wood and charcoal atop a local hill or high point, to represent closeness to the sun. At midday the pyre is lit and the body burns to ash, to be scattered in the wind.
  Owenthal:
Those who follow the old ways with Owenthal are given a 'sun buriel' where the body is stripped naked and a blindfold placed across their eyes. The deceased is then taken to a stone alter atop a hill or mountain that faces south, the way to the sun, and left to be burned by the sun, consumed by nature and returned to the sky.
  Shadrona:
The followers of the Moon Goddess are held in the local temple or shine until the next full moon. Burials and ceremonies are then held as one collective celebration at midnight with songs being sung and inscence burned. Mirrors are placed to reflect the moonlight onto the faces of the dead which are dressed in white robes. After the ceremony the bodies are inturned underground in coffins made of silver birch or white stone.
  Sirra:
The goddess of Death is offered praise and worship at anyones death, no matter which deity they follow. Those who have a special connection or affiliation to Sirra are buried in stone coffines that are placed deep underground in sealed tombs. Some of the oldest graves in Beru are associated with Sirra, being made of earth and stone in circles and barrows.
  Tellurayve:
The Father of Hunters demands that his followers are set into places wild nature to be consumed by the creatures that dwell there. This is to provide the animals with ample food to ensure their survival for Tellurayve sees the humanoid races as lesser than creatures of his domain.
  The Hidden:
Given the secretive nature of The Hidden their followers have private ceremonies, often under the guise of another deity to disuade suspicion. Though their worship isn't forbidden it can draw unwelcome eyes and whispers of ill repute to the dead. The body is placed into a casket and buried in a temple or shrine to Sirra with a coin placed on the forehead that depicts their symbol: two faces that point away from each other.
