The Eireonic Church

The Eireonic Church is an organization spanning all of Bereir. The church is dedicated to the pantheon as a whole, with a set of teachings that balance the individual teachings of each God.

Structure

Manifolds. Commonly, a single temple will have several clerics, devoted to a few gods each. The clerics, called Manifolds, deliver on the rites of their gods, and shepherd several disparate peoples. Unlike clerics devoted to one deity, the Eireon clerics have more limited abilities and serve mostly as spiritual and functional guides. The clerics wear similar outfits to one-another, donning short coats and plain trousers.   Pirettes. The Manifolds of a temple report to an overseer called a Pirette. The pirette arranges ceremonies, obtains supplies, and keeps records. In the largest temples, there may be two or three pirettes who split the duties and aid eachother. Most have a diverse faith much like the clerics they direct. Pirettes wear stately outfits of gray, blue, and white with a drapery that covers their shoulders and upper back.   Pontiffs. Their is an upper-echelon of the church containing 15 figures. They are called Pontiffs, and each are solely devoted to a singular god and their followers. These pontiffs help issue materials, keep order in the temples, and further the influence of their deity. These figures all wear outfits befitting of their deity.   Eyes and Ears. The Eyes and Ears are persons specially attuned to the will of one god. These people spend years, or even their entire lives, relaying what, if any, information a god wishes to communicate. Some speak more often than others.   Church Paladins. The paladins of the church have a vast backing, granted large leeway because of their sponsorship. All piously serve a god and take arms in their name. While anyone could devote themselves to faith and become a paladin, the church paladins typically arise from within the church and have access to a greater supply of both wealth and knowledge.

Public Agenda

Guide the populace and further the goals of the gods they serve.

Tenets of Faith

The Church promotes a cohesive set of tenets derived from each deity

Ethics

It is the duty of the church to follow the tenets set out by the gods when and where they are relevant.

Worship

While each god has ceremonies of their own, the church hosts group communion as an act of unity and respect. These are held on Monday, Wedensday, and Friday, and are attended by members of the community to better understand the world and the Gods. Monday service is a general service in reverence to the pantheon in unity, while each service after is devoted to a particular concept or God as chosen by the leading cleric.

Priesthood

Religious figures in the church are appointed by other members, or start their own temples that are approved of by the church hierarchy. All members are intended to receive positions based on their ability to fulfill their assigned role, namely wisdom and diligence.

Sects

The Chaosians.   The Emergent.   The Recondite. Rumor holds that their is another, secret sect of the church that acts upon the will of Sorm. This legend says that they are assassins of deep devotion to their god. Some say that Sorm is not, in fact, their guide. This rumor is wholeheartedly dismissed by the church, but still persists.
