The Champion

Bloody Reaper, Headsman, Slayer

Alignment: Neutral   Portfolio: War, battle, honorable combat, the strength to stand against your foes   Worshippers: warriors, mercenaries, soldiers   Alignments: NG, N, NE   Weapon: Rip and Tear - Twin Greatswords     War, an eternal and ceaseless thing across the multiverse and has spawned many a variety of war god. The Champion represents war that follows the rules of war, to the Champion it is the strength of arms, skill, and tactics that will win a battle for you. He encourages displays of tactical genius, traps, ambushes, and outmaneuvering foes is all something he approves of. He dislikes cowardly tactics such as using prisoners of war as shields against attack, dishonorable and cowardly tactics will often cause the Champion to curse such a force. While the Champion is not as big on honor as the Platinum Knight it is still important to the champion that war be conducted in an honorable way. This does not mean two forces have to be equal in terms of numbers, ability, or ground as these are all marks of the skill of those leading the war. The Champion prefers battles to between living foes who can willingly fight and die for glory and cause, as a result, he hates the use of undead and constructs in war and dislikes large scale magic to slaughter an entire army, you can use magic to help turn a tide through cleverness but causing a meteor swarm to fall on a city is tasteless to the Champion.

Not all the champions of the stories survive but they stand against those odds for what they believe in and die a glorious death. These stories serve as the holy book of the Champion as that is exactly what the Champion wants from its followers.
