In preparation for working on the first book in my series, I am going to work on finalizing the Avian empire and areas surrounding it. Mainly, the Dragon Kingdom and the islands occupied by pirates nearby.
These areas are the setting for the first book in my series about this world.

- Plan the category structure for your area of focus, OR Create an article about your area of focus.
Roll #1: 3
How does your area of focus interact with the rest of the world?
The Avian Empire has control over most of the islands surrounding it. They utilize them and their for resources, labor and breeding. There are some areas held down by slavers and pirates who are in an uneasy partnership with them.
Avians see themselves as above everyone thanks to propaganda and the isolation of their sky island.
This leaves any relationships between them and other peoples strained to nonexistent.

Roll #1: 3
Read and article (or more) from other Anvilites
While perusing the discovery tab, the world of The Million Islands caught my attention. I was charmed by the color scheme. It was easy on the eyes and pretty to look at. I looked over some of their islands and the culture that can be found on them. It definitely helped me think about how I want to present my world and homepage at some point.
They had some interesting fauna as well as playable characters. I was really captivated by the Aethry playable class. I am working on a similar race for my novel.
I tried to find some worlds that were built for novels or books for some inspiration but it was taking a while. But I did come across Wanted Hero. It's world was colorful and fun and I wish them well.

As mentioned before, my focus for camp is a region of my version of Earth, specifically the North Eastern quadrant. This will be the setting of my first book in a series. As I continue to expand my series I will continue to expand the world that it lives in.
I will continue use World Anvil to build out my settings so that they can be well put together, immersive and fun. And so I can keep all of my own nonsense straight!
