#1: Dinner With the Dursts

Expedition

Our Heroes arrive in Barovia, and meet the Durst Family, who attempt to drug, rob, and murder them. Through a combination of luck and cunning, the two younger Dursts accidently drug themselves, and the Heroes uncover the plot. The Heroes slay the Durst Family, though the youngest — Elizabeth — manages to escape on horseback. The Heroes stay the night in the Durst House, and the following morning find a welcoming present from Count Strahd von Zarovich left on the doorstep.
