Lancelot is a Corgi who lives in the Great Forest with his owners, Yesiphina Loafcrumb and Idazira Loafcrumb.

Personal history

Lancelot was adopted from the Gwychton pound when he was eight weeks old. He flourished on the Loafcrumb Farm on the outskirts of Gwychton in the Great Forest, enjoying his new life as a companion and working dog with his adoptive mothers. However, Lancelot's carefree and easily distractible nature developed into him often running off, or too closely investigating and attempting to make friends with larger monsters.
When Lancelot was nine months old, he wandered off the Loafcrumb property, and manage to find his way into a pack of Blink Dogs. Though the Blink Dogs themselves were gentle with the pup, their teleportations encouraged Lancelot to run and jump far faster and with less care, in an effort to keep up. This resulted in him getting hurt after falling down a ravine. He was returned to the Loafcrumbs by the Blink Dogs, after he was injured, sensing where he truly belonged. After being returned, his mothers had a suit of chainmail and plate barding made for him (more as a joke than anything, but the young Corgi would run away whenever anyone tried taking it off, so they let him keep it).
In 1351 ME, Lancelot got lost whilst chasing a butterfly, and our Heroes were hired to track and return him to his mothers. Whilst on the way back from their quest, Mina Barovonna, Übel Bachmann, and Valentina Dilisnya lost him once more after he bolted to chase after some rabbits, and were ulimately taken by the Mists into County of Barovia. The current state of Lancelot is unknown, though it is assumed he is enjoying chasing the rabbits, still.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Lancelot is surprisingly un-food motivated, and instead spends more time playing and chasing after flashy things he sees. Though ostensibly a hunting dog, Lancelot doesn't really understand that prey animals are food, so often catches rabbits and duck, and then merely sits with them. As such, the Loafcrumbs have been forced to adopt several wild rabbits and other game animals that Lancelot chased and ultimately befriended.
