Heart of Glass

The Heart of Glass is a massive construct of stained glass that hangs in the upper reaches of the Castle Ravenloft Great Stairs, created by Strahd von Zarovich. Bathed in blood, built from the shattered windows of Barovian churches, and suffuse with magic, the Heart appears to be some form of "vessel" for Divine magic or faith. Valentina Dilisnya deduced this information when she realised the similarities between its construction and the new "battery" reliquaries constructed by the Dawnic Church beyond the Mists.
It is unclear why Strahd has created the Heart of Glass, though it appears to be linked to the conspiracy to profane the holy sites and relics around the County of Barovia, with Valentina believing that if they are all dessecrated, and the Abbot is removed, that it may become the focus of all the psychic will of the faithful of the Morninglord in Barovia.
