Veymar
Veymar is part of a Diarchy with its neighbor Rouen, which is the outcome of a long and complicated relationship with their neighbor which saw many alliances and many wars between them. They are most known for being a stern, no-nonsense and stoic people, which strangely meshes very well with their more “emotional” neighbors to the south (Roune). They are credited with developing great and meticulous histories of their own nation, and the world, as well as many commentaries and scholarly critiques of those same histories. They are considered the developers of the idea of a “nation” state, along with the Rouen, and have set up a council of barons which functions as a sort of proto-parliament within their diarchic system. They land of Veymar is perhaps most infamous, however, for producing one of the greatest generals, turned historian, turned conqueror that Balliston has ever seen: The Dawnbringer, Telemon, the Iron Saint, the Gilded Angel, The Overlord, He Who Would Pierce the Night. For it was in Veymar that he was raised, Rouen where he studied history, Renelestre where he studied statecraft, Veymar where he taught and whom he fought for against the Goliath clans, before disappearing into the east on a vision quest and returning as a transformed being. Veymaran are primarily fair skinned, with hair of nearly any color. Many Veymaran nobles wear short trimmed beards, as is the custom.
The capital of Doleran, home to the Dusk Assembly, and at some point, to the Violaceous Wanderer, is now the a semi-autonomous state within
