The Barony (or Shire) of Derring is an administrative county in south-western The Occupied Kingdom of Talanthia, it sits on the rolling river country of that region, bounded by the great forest of the Wold and beyond that the settlements of "The Chalk" to the west, though most of its more productive towns and villages lie along the lowlands to the east and north.
