Session 2 Report: Botch Job (Pt 2)
General Summary
The crew made plans to head upstate and deliver the data to Hummingbird Networks, per the contract.
McConnell-Mayer corp security had other ideas. Tracked likely by the stolen money that the crew had acquired, the crew was ambushed on their drive. Dickie's prized 2001 sedan was hopelessly totaled in an act of vehicular manslaughter. Dickie took a good shot to the chest, but their local vet patched him up after hours. Lucky for him.
The rest of the crew took one of the McConnell-Mayer cars upstate and completed the deal, getting some crypto to pass on to hacker. The crew got some lunch.
The next few weeks proved difficult for the crew. While the contract was technically complete, they had lost access to Dickie's apartment, having judged it safer to stop renting it after a security team had given it a once over. Neon Nomad was out of contact and no payment materialized. Crew members turned to small, odd jobs and their previous homes or couches of friends and things looked grim.
But hey, Gregorio's is fine, and so is Mrs. Bachtiari, even if she misses her upstairs neighbors.
