King

Qualifications

If a new kingdom is being created it is usually the leader of the group making the kingdom or a unanimous decision by the group, or citizens who choose the new King.

Requirements

If one is of the same lineage as a previous king, the individual has a claim to the title. However, it is normally the designated heir (Crowned) that receives the title.

Appointment

A king is coronated during a grand ceremony, usually held at a significant landmark within the counter, announcing to its citizens the change of leadership. Typically conferred by a leading council member or individual of divine authority.

Duties

A king is morally obliged to protect and heighten the well-being of the kingdom and its citizens. How that is interpreted per titleholder is mutable.

Responsibilities

A king is subject to daily meetings with their advisors and often makes important decisions daily.

Benefits

Incredible financial, political, and military power is wielded by a king having the weight of a kingdom behind them.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Either forced or willfully stepping down are the only ways that a king or queen is removed from their position.
