Grs'agra Madur

The Fat Man

"It is known but not understood. Seen but not perceived. For to acknowledge that the poor of the Realm do not deserve each misfortune, each twist of fate, each of the daily suffering they endure would be to diverge away from Her Will and Civility.
It is known that those work hard prosper. It is seen that those who contribute well receive Her blessing. It is acknowledged that She has provided every possible opportunity, and only through lazy, selfish, greed does a citizen fail to reach their potential.
Do not pity the poor, homeless, and less prosperous. Close you heart to them, for they have closed their hearts to Her."
From the Lectures of Garyl-Illianos, Student of Suffering.

The above quote embodies the average Citizen's attitude towards the poor. Hero's of the Realm are those who excel in their trade, those to gain power and wealth, those who fundamentally increase the amount of Her Will and Civility in the Realm of Az-Atla. There are not poor heroes, no heroic narratives about homelessness or the less civilized.
But, in the eastern reaches of the Iron Sea (Gle'lanèrino ) there is at least one person who is sympathetic to those less fortunate then the Devouring Mother would like. He is known as:

Grs'agra Madur, The Fat Man.

Local stories of him will say that he is a Dwarf, or a fat human. He may be short, tall or medium in height. He always has eyes ablaze with the fire of an angered heart, and his hair is always white like the bones of those he kills.
He comes once a year. He leaves needed gifts for the poor and any who delay his task are slain. Some say he has the strength to break an Orc in two and rip a heart from the chest.

And of course that is all folk lore and whimsy told to impress strangers and frighten children. "The Fat Man will come," is what parents say. "Grs'agra Madur will come for your toys if you are bad, and give them to the poor" is also said.

The truth is there is a man who gives needed items to the poor. Nothing he gives is stolen from others. He has killed citizens, and in very violent horrible ways. Civil authorities suspect The Fat Man is a Divergent Orc. Not, because he gives to the poor, that is strange, but because he's a murder which is very Divergent indeed.
The truth is no one has been able to discover who The Fat Man is, so their past is hidden. And, oddly... they only seem to do these acts of strangeness and murderous Divergence only in the month of Zeros-ij, the last month of the year.

Over two decades of social abnormal behaviour in the form of generosity towards the poor, and seven violent murders of innocent Citizens. Three in one year.

Intellectual Characteristics

The Fat Man is clearly a long term plotter and an excellent improviser in the moment. He has a quick mind that assess situations analytically and provides for a solution which best meets his goals. He has not been caught yet, and unless there is clear evidence of Ee-Loque use the Paragons will not likely get involved.

Morality & Philosophy

Divergent. The Fat Man clearly has no issue breaking the ethics and laws of Her Will. His philosophy is one of controlled chaos and incivility. While the local poor may see him in a positive light, normal citizens know him to be avoided and distained.
