Tallstag River
This northern river connects the mountains near Baggerville with the Strait of Dalkaria to the east. Where it empties into this strait rests the capital of Tallstag, the city of Forest-end. The river is bordered on the north by the Northern Forest for its entire length, except where the forest has been cleared near the coastal city.
Shipping traffic on this river is somewhat quieter than other rivers in the world, which keeps it more pristine and cleaner. It is mainly used a source of drinking water by the citizens living along its banks, as well as a power source for mills and other machinery in the towns and cities. The northern waters have fostered the development of several unique types of fish that spend much of the winter almost hibernating in the sea ice only to swim upriver to spawn near the mountains once the ice thaws in the spring and summer.
