Níamorr (nee-ah-more)

The Golden Lord

Níamorr is a controversial deity across the world of Ayndrinor. He is worshiped by nobles and powerful people everywhere, but few common folk even know of his existence. Those in power who do not prescribe to his faith tend to be vehemently against his followers, trying to root them out and strip them of titles given the slightest excuse or evidence of wrongdoing.
Níamorr is the son of two Deirid, Eamon and Toldrun, though many scholars and priests have doubts about the willingness of Eamon to participate in this union. Though no one has any concrete proof of wrongdoing, the teachings of Eamon are antithetical to much of Níamorr's beliefs, and most people find it hard to believe Eamon would lend any of his divine essence to create such an entity. The followers of Toldrun are not viewed in the best light to begin with, so it is very plausible for most that he coerced Eamon or led him under false pretenses into the affair that produced Níamorr. Regardless of the debate of his parentage, Níamorr is a much-discussed figure in the higher circles of society and academia.

Tenets of Faith

• Respect the rightful ruler of one's land and do not try to overthrow them.
• Sometimes one must engage in shady behaviors to grow one's fortunes. Make sure this is well covered, and have plausible deniability.
• If you are the rightful ruler of a land, snuff out all plots to overthrow you and quash them quickly - peacefully and legally if possible, but if not do it anyway.
• One should always be working to buy other nobility out of their titles and consolidate as much power as possible under the current ruler(s).

Identifying Characteristics

Níamorr is typically described as a well-dressed middle-aged human man with a bit of a gut. He is depicted as having well-manicured hair and a trimmed goatee, both of rich brunette color. Those who claim to have been in his presence say he sparkles with countless jewels and jingles with untold amounts of coins in various pockets and pouches.
