Tensions between humans and elves reach a peak, resulting in elves abandoning the settlement and founding Sasoya.

The island currently known as The Troubled Mire was once its own standing landmass with plenty of space and dry land to sustain life, yet year after year, flooding occurred both from the ocean nearby as well as the frequent, torrential rains, completely submerging some areas or create an uninhabitable swamp of others with living area growing more and more sparse.   Originally it was agreed for humans to live in a smaller settlement on the eastern shore, allied with but separate from the elves, but with their shorter lifespan and growing numbers, the humans began to encroach further and further, and with the island becoming more flooded, the two had to attempt to live in harmony.   Unfortunately, tensions rose from a difference to cultural ideals all the way to conflicting religious beliefs, and soon they sat on the brink of war. After news was leaked that humans were considering enslaving the elves, a few skirmishes broke out within the small villages formed. War did not occur, as instead, the elves fled, crafting boats to ferry them to the nearby archipelagos under the explicit intent to never aid the humans or allow them to their lands.   Only a few generations after the separation, the humans were attacked by the lizardmen, and were met with silence when they pleaded with their former allies for assistance.   Since then The AIS (Allied Islands of Sasoya) has softened its hearts to humans in varying degrees along the islands, no longer attacking them on sight and in rare cases, allowing them onto the island to settle.
