The Laws of Avestra
There are Magical Leylines that flow through Avestra and serve as the basis that casters tap into indirectly to use magic. If mages tap into the actual Leylines, there is a chance magical feedback could occur and destroy a leyline, turning the zone around it into a dead magic zone. It will most likely stay that way until another Leyline shifts into the region over a long period of time.
Cosmology
The Eternals claim that they were the first to inhabitant the universe. It started with the first Eternals, Anu and Enu. Enu gave up their life to create the world of Aeternum and the Eternals, leaving a successor behind in the form of Eno, the Knight of Eternity. Anu soon joined them, leaving behind a successor in the form of Ano, the Seneschal of Eternity. The two ruled over Aeternum well but soon grew bored with the world they knew. So instead, they chose to one-up their predecessors and created the different realms with Avestra as their crown jewel. Soon after, the two "brothers" split the Eternals in The Eternal Civil War and during this war, Aeternum and the Eternals vanished, leaving the realms to grow and prosper on their own.
