The History of Avestra so far
- The Eternals. These immortals were the first to inhabit the universe. Two of them were the ones to create the rest of the realms if the story is believed. However, the war between Eternals and their subsequent disappearance removed them from the realm for eons until the Elders attacked Avestra, bringing them and their world back. However, no one knows why they left in the first place or what was it that brought them back. Even as the Eternals scatter across the realms, Aeternum is left untouched by non-Eternals, making many who look up to the sky and see the planet wonder what secrets it holds.
- The Under Empires. At some point, there was a sprawling set of interconnected empires in the Underoad. Their influence is clearly seen as the tunnels that aren't destroyed have been served well as routes for travelers and trade alike. However, these empires no longer exist. And now creatures and races alike such as the Simic Hybrids and Warforged awaken in the depths of their lost land and make their way to the surface with no memory of what came before. This has caused scholars to question what happened to them and what secrets they left behind.
- The Empire of Giants and Dragons. It is believed that Dragons and Giants alike held a massive empire above ground when the Under Empires exist. The Dragons ruled the skies and the highlands while the Giants ruled the lowlands. But just as the Under Empires fell, the Over Empires did the same. Now vestiges of them exist across the land and these old groups are being to awaken once more and are driven to reclaim what they once lost.
