Staghelm
A magical city of elves ripped from its former home in the Feywild during The Spellplague to its new home in Firehearth around 1385 AF.
The city is known for its incredible craftsman of all kinds who make highly refined exotic wears, including weapons, armor, tools, spells, and potions. Various refined resources are also produced there, such as ingots, flour and hide. Wears and resources produced in Staghelm are quite literally other-worldly, and cannot be found anywhere else on Firehearth.
Demographics
Staghelm is made up of exclusively elves, with about 20% of them being Eladrin. Staghelm is the only place in Firehearth where Eladrin live.
The citizens of Staghelm are mostly well off. Poverty is very low in the city
Government
The Court of Staghelm is the governing body of the city, headed by the Queen of Staghelm. Aside from the queen, the court consists of 12 democratically elected representatives of Staghelm. New pieces of legislation start when a member of The Court of Staghelm proposes a new bill. The bill must either be signed by the guild that ties most directly to the bill or by the Queen of Staghelm. The Court of Staghelm meets on 9th and 10th of each tenday. When voting on a bill, the Queen of Staghelm's vote counts as 3. This means that the opposing side of the Queen of Staghelm needs at least 8 opponents of the bill, making the queen able to break a 6:6 tie, or overturn a 5:7 minority. The Queen of Staghelm's opinion is highly respected and the people of Staghelm are mostly unified in terms of goals, so it is a rare occurrence the Queen of Staghelm to be in either of those positions.
The Queen seeks to elevate the position of their people on the international stage by expertly negotiating trade deals. As such, Staghelm is seen as a neutral trading hub throughout the continent.
Defences
Staghelm's magnificent pearl white walls, with gold lined towers and emerald green bases also boast a sizable blue crystal every 15 feet. These gems act as magic missile turrets, which can be activated by the high mage
Industry & Trade
Staghelm initially did everything it could to be as self-sustaining as possible, as the inhabitants are very weary and distrusting of outsiders. However, after just a few short years since the city appeared in Firehearth, reality hit as the elves ran low on their resources and struggled adapting to the ones in Firehearth. Since then, Staghelm has slowly become a major importer of hard to process resources as they work on re-doing their infrastructure towards the resources of their new plane. Staghelm sells unique food, drink, armor, weapons, equipment and magical items unlike any in Firehearth. All goods in Staghelm are made with ingredients and techniques found exclusively in The Feywild, thus making them extremely sought after and valuable.
When Staghelm was still in The Feywild, it was a large trade center with many exotic highly refined goods.
Staghelm's strongest sectors include:
- Forging magical and non-magical weapons, armor and tools
- Refining raw metals, crops and animal goods into workable materials such as ingots, flour and hide
- Performing, documenting and publishing scientific studies on various topics such as creatures, medicines and the world
- Producing spellbooks, potions and other magical items
- Inventing new spells, potions and other magical items
- Growing exotic magical plants
- Gathering natural resources, such as wood, crops and animal goods
- Combat experience
- Lack of army. Staghelm has been at peace for its entire existence, as a neutral party producing high quality goods. While in The Feywild, Staghelm was rumored to be protected by a fierce archfey know as Storhjort. Now, his protection is now very minimal due to the archfey being on a different plane.

Lower end buildings are made of stone blocks on lower floors, with wooden upper floors and wooden shingles
Industrial buildings are made of a strange high grade steel-like material that isn't from this world. It is sage green, and has a strange matte look that reflects minimal light
