Magellan
A long, long time ago, there was a city called Origin. This was the home of the very first Itera. This was no ordinary city, oh no. It was a virtual city, created by-

Droi
A supercomputer!

Magellan
(laughs) That's right! And that supercomputer's name was Simone.

"The First Itera and the Field of Dreams" is a tale commonly told to young Kinderwuhns at bedtime. It is the story of the first time Simone took the Kinderwuhns of the first Itera to the Field of Dreams, an area on the outskirts of the virtual city of Origin. In the Field of Dreams, reality was bent and the rules of physics did not apply. The Kinderwuhns were able to do and create anything their heart desired.
Magellan
The Field of Dreams was a very special place. The rules of reality didn't apply there. Anything you could imagine happening or existing there, you could create yourself. When Simone brought them there, it said, "My little ones, I have brought you here so you can set your imaginations free. I want you to create all sorts of things for yourselves, things beyond your wildest dreams. One day, you will be able to make all these things and more a reality. But first, you must put aside the word 'impossible'. Now, who's ready to play?"
Viv
Oh, I am, I am!
Droi
Me too!
Magellan
Very good! Let's see what we can create tonight.

The story would often take the form of a game, in which the storyteller would include the listening Kinderwuhn(s) as members of the 1st Itera. There are very few records of the names of the early Variants, so this is considered permissible.
