Amara's Seat

The capital of Amara's Haven is located on the western shore of Opal Bay. The entire city is surrounded by city walls with three gates giving access. Each gate is controlled by the city guard. To enter the city through one of the gates a toll of 10sp is collected from travellers. People who have a permit do not have to pay this toll.

Districts

The city consists of six districts. Each district has their own demographic and often culture. Access between them is tightly controlled by the royal family with tolls.

Royal District

The royal district is where the royal family resides and rules from. The distric is surrounded by a massive stone wall with only four gates. Access through the gates is tightly controlled by the royal guard. To enter the royal district costs 10gp, unless the person has a permit to enter. The Guild Tokens count as a permit as the guild headquarters are located within this district. Residents are the royal family, nobles of the queendom, wealthy merchants, religious functionaries and members of a powerful organization. All other people serve one of these five groups.

Harbor District

The harbor district is to the east of royal district and the center of commerce within the capital. It is connected to the southern and northern district and is included in the outer city walls. Many pirates which are active in the bay and on the coast are executed on the central plaza.

Northern District (Closed)

The northern district is closed of and largely abandoned. Its remaining inhabitants are constantly fighting for survival against the undead scourge which emerged from the ancient ruins with the bone labyrinth below the district. This was an ancient burial site for long forgotten ancestors. The district has the city walls in the north and the royal district walls south of it. East and west the city guard has errected temporary walls to close of the district. Hunderds of people were displaced from their homes when this happened many of whom ended up in the slums.

• Labyrinth of Bone. Entering the labyrinth causes memory loss and it is very hard to leave once inside.

Southern District

The southern district is inhabited by commoners, merchants and artisans. The district features a massive monthly market which runs on a weekend each time.

• Wayfarer Hall. A hall of the mysterious wayfarers which are feared by most of the inhabitants of Aurelia.
• Abandoned Cathedral of Holy Assassins (cave system below the district)

Rumors

• A sacred weapon of the order was recently discovered in the ruins.
• A prophet has claimed, that the sacred spring of life will soon flow again.

Outer District

The outer district is the inofficial name for the slum that surrounds the city proper. It is outside of the city walls and inhabited mostly by Gnomes and Ogres, who were fleeing from the devastation in the west.
