Svimalin Miners Guild
The Svimalin Miners Guild is as old as the kingdom itself.
Its members are respected by everyone in the kingdom. The higher ranking members' concerns and requests are often heard and granted by the King.
Every new professional miner is approached by a guild member and strongly requested to join. A representative of the miners guild can be found in any hold/mountain home. This guild controls and guides the workings and expansion of the mining networks of each hold and thus directly the economy of those holds.
The miners guild could bring a mountain home to a stand still if they ordered the miners lay down their tools, so any Thane or other nobility would be wise to satisfy any mandate or request they might have.

Structure
At top of the guilds hierarchy are the Ald Grungni which literally translated simply means "Old Miners", two members of every dwarven clan are chosen to take part in its leadership, these members must have a white head of hair to be eligible to take up this position.
