The Murder of Laughing Blade Premise: Fireborn Cult priest Laughing Blade was found murdered in the Anya Tor Memmorial Park. Heir to the Dennon estate, Violet Dennon was found at the scene of the crime with a bloody sword. Her mother, Agnes Dennon, matriarch of the Dennon clan, wants her to be murdered BEFORE the court of truth. She is willing to offer 300 g for this job to be done with the utmost discretion. Agnes will offer the party a small vial of Purple Worm Poison This poison must be harvested from a dead or incapacitated purple worm. A creature subjected to this poison must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The royal sheriff Ada Sharpe will arrive in about a month What actually happened: Violet did kill Laughing Blade. He caught her meeting with her contact, a priest of Shadow: Rhys Gallachel. The two were caught meeting in the park by Laughing Blade and were engaged. They killed him and were in the act of disposing of the body when a patrol found the blood pool and came to investigate. Rhys vanished into the shadow while Violet was caught.
