Temples: Temple of Fire   Omens/Signs/Etc: Spear, Sword, Fire, Comets,    Culwych was originally a human man from an ancient civilzation called Cranor. In those days the humans were subservient to the demon lords. He became a master with spear and sword and slew the Demon King Darr'ok, and banished the lesser demons back into the abyss.   He was destroyed when he grasped both sides of the demon portal and closed it.   Legends and Tales:   The Tale of the Giants Around midday, the Culwych and his party reached their destination, the land of the Giants. There they came upon a mighty castle built into the side of a mountain. The gate was locked and no one was there to open it, but Culwych and the others found that they could fit through the very large spaces between the bars of the gate easily enough. Once inside, they found a hall where men sat eating and drinking. Among them was the king of this castle, the giant Geldhor, who immediately recognized his new guests and set about taunting them for their diminutive size. In an attempt to salvage their honor, Culwych's party members challenged the Giants to a series of challenges - eating, running, drinking, untying notes, and fighting. Although they put up considerable challenges, they all lost, including Culwych.   After this, Geldhor decided that there should be no more contests, and the company spent the night there in the castle.   In the morning, they rose and prepared to leave. After Geldhor had shown them out of the castle, he confided to them what had actually transpired in their contests, saying to Culwych, “Now that you have left my castle, I shall see to it that you never enter it again. The opponent in the eating and running was none other than fire, the insatiable. The drinking horn Culwych had been trying to empty was a Horn of Holding and held 10 Gallons, and in the fight he had faced 15 Fire Giants all wearing the same armor, not one.   “Now, for your sake and for ours, leave, but one as mighty as you is ever welcome to come back, for you have won our respect and our loyalty.”   Culwych was so taken that he swore eternal friendship and a youngster amongst the fire giants, Togir joined Culwych's party and won for himself much renown and honor.
