Ascendant

Ascendants are Gods, demi-gods and other higher order beings. They used to interact directly with mortals on the material plane but in the sundering that was The Great Calamity they have since distanced themselves. A few still directly interfere but do so at their own peril.
Ascendants come from species of all sorts.
