Wyldspace
A large space-hopping ship travels to distant planets in search of new life forms and civilizations, and new lessons to learn. This ship is based on nanotechnology, tiny robots which can reconfigure themselves as programmed into any needed shape, using the strength of electromagnetic fields and the power of object-oriented programming and cascading style sheets. (It's ok to laugh at that part.)
After thankfully surviving the risky hop through warped space, the Captain commands repairs to be made, observes the strange new world in front of the ship, and selects a team of valuable yet expendable specialists to gather data on this world with their boots on the ground and to decide if it is worthy of future visits.
The team of three men are given an allotment of the ship's power and material to form a smaller craft and all the tools they think they will need. (With emphasis on "think".)

This story is set in the distant future perhaps around the year 2500 AD. Although humanity has many cultures, with their own social conventions, the culture of this ship is fairly mainstream for the world of Athena Minerva. The society is noticeably female dominant, with practical men only wearing clothing when necessary, and intellectual women planning strategy and giving orders while clad appropriate to their rank and personal sense of style.
The Captain of this particular space warping star ship is deaf, which has inspired many deaf crewmembers to serve under her. Sign language is commonly known but seldom needed as everyone knows her job and usually knows what the Captain will command in a given situation. Ironically, one of the most active characters is a sound technician who uses his extremely good hearing in his job, most days.
This story is identified by the author as safe for General Audiences, although there is a seemingly endless supply of scantily clad men. However, there is no sexual activity planned for the story line. It is just a society where near-nudism is an acceptable healthy lifestyle choice of a portion of the population. This story will be in accord with a G to PG-13 maturity rating.
Furthermore, this story was originally envisioned in four parallel stories: One with a Girl-Power team, one with a Boy-Power team, and each having a G-rated clothed version and a PG-to-PG-13-rated self-censored unclothed version featuring healthy nudism as an acceptable lifestyle choice of some people. The more mature versions will be produced at a later time.
