Tybus
At the base of the Gloomridge mountains and on the shore of the Ironwall river is the City of Tybus.
Tybus is a multi-purpose city. Having been originally built as the main fortress garrison for the protection of Blackmere's main kingdom. The city has served as a gateway defense from the eastern frontiers as the city holds the main crossing point of the Ironwall river. Tybus is also used to aid in the support of The Last Garrison and Saints Wall, the eastern barrier defense from the The Deadwood.
Being at the crossroads between the eastern frontier lands, the eastern kingdoms, central Blackmere and the southern kingdoms, Tybus has become one of the largest trade and market cities in Blackmere. Tybus has a large port, bustling markets, and a local chapter of the Griffon Academy(Mages Guild), and of course there are the markets and guilds that operate on the more questionably legal side as well. Tybus also maintains the majority of Blackmere's army with the exception to Blackmere's Navy and Griffon Island Garrison. Tybus's Lord "Rowland Grimthorn" is solely responsible for The Army of Saints Wall and the training of the Blackmere Crown Army. The Tybus training grounds are also well known for hosting incredible fairs for games and tournaments.
History
Tybus, like much of Blackmere has a lineage that dates back to at least the time of the mage kingdoms. Built many times over the ruins of the past. From the time of the destruction of Kron, the destroyed remains of a city lay largely uninhabited for centuries. Over the ages many inhabitants would occupy this site in an attempt to settle. The city had been rebuilt, destroyed or abandoned and rebuilt again several times over the course of the last two thousand years. The last time it was rebuilt was after the Celestial Cataclysm when the city was nearly destroyed again.
