The Legend of Hadrick Blackbane
-2200 BCC- After the destruction of the Mage Kingdom of Kron. The surviving peoples formed small semi nomadic clans. The realm was wrought with dangers left over from Krons fall. Legends talk about all manner of nightmares that plagued the lands. Unnatural beasts, creatures, evil spirits, the dead and demons.
Throughout the ages Orcs clans, goblins, giants and the occasional dragon have ravaged the heartlands. Blackmere Wood, Ironwood Forest. After Krons fall, these tribes and clans took back control over a large portion of the region (Gloomridge Vale).
The clans struggled for centuries winning minor victories against nightmares and savages and gaining small footholds. They survived like this for centuries.
Approx. -1000 BCC - Over time they began to settle and were able to build fortified settlements. Some on top of the ruins of now “ancient” cities. Thas and Keri, coastal settlements on Blackwater lake and New Kron, built in the mountains in Ironwood Forest were the first of the new settlements.
As the human population began to grow and reestablish a foothold. Teams of warriors would begin campaigns to push back the nightmares and savages. Considering magic had been lost to them since the fall of Kron, it was difficult battling the supernatural and demonic forces. The factions of Thas and Keri joined forces and persevered.
