Green Scourge

The Green Scourge

The Green Scourge refers to the combined forces of goblin-kind or goblinoids. These races included the following listed from rank in ascending order:
  • Goblins
  • Trolls and Ogres
  • Hobgoblins (switched sides to the Allience during the last months of the war, see below.)
  • Gnolls
  • Orcs

The Allience

The Alliance refers to the combined forces of various races and kingdoms composed of the following:

Strategy

The strategy of the Green Scourge was coined thousands of years ago by First Admer Empire military generals as the 'Blitzkrieg'. The Blitzkrieg (from Blitz 'lightning' + Krieg 'war') is a military doctrine in which a surprise attack using a rapid, overwhelming force concentration that may consist of armored infantry formations, together with close air support, has the intent to break through the opponent's lines of defense, then dislocate the defenders, unbalance the enemy by making it difficult to respond to the continuously changing front, and defeat them in a decisive Vernichtungsschlacht: battle of annihilation.

Battles

  • Battle of Geoff Valley
  • Javan River Slaughter
  • The Defense of the Bitter Plains
  • The Great Cormanthyr Fires

The Conflict

Prelude

Scholarly Debate

The only ones who know why the entirety of goblin-kind set out from their native lands in the extreme western mountains in the Spine of the World and lands just south of them will be the goblinoids themselves. Scholars believe it might have a religious connotation, with the known recent rise to power of the Phisij religious order, but without being able to directly ask, this is just a theory.

Spycraft

Spies of Carcino have been sent into the slave camps in the months and years after, and have learned little about why they chose the Kulala Peninsula.

Battlefield

From the extreme western side of the Spine of the World, through the plains of ash, to the Kulala Penninsula.
