The Apalaryan Joining is a notable painting created by Ceri Cadagin, depicting the Apalaryan Union, the official formation of the Empire of Apalareas. Considered one of the greatest pieces of the 4th millennium, the painting launched Cadagin into the limelight, and nearly immediately saw her offered the role of Imperial Painter. Emperor Ellis and Empress Cecillia were known to be huge fans of the painting, buying it for a massive fee at auction, and displaying it in their Palace.
The painting has since changed hands numerous times over the centuries since its creation and is currently held by the King of Apreas, Greshan III. While believed to be the original copy, many rumours abound if the painting is the original, with a not insignificant number of historians and artists considering it a well-made forgery.
