Sanctuary of the Forgotten

A stretch of ruins that have sunk into the earth, this sanctuary was once the headquarters of ASTER, the Animus Scholarship of Extrapolated Reincarnation.

Purpose / Function

The institute was a place of learning, studying newly discovered magic, and developing new spells. Their primary purpose was to extrapolate reincarnation and recreate it.

Alterations

The building has been abandoned and in a state of decay for more than a century. The building eventually sunk into the ground, leaving ruins of its roof across the forest floor above ground. Fissures have formed in the stone, causing places where debris has fallen into the structure or where the floor has collapsed.
The unidentified dryad necrobotanist later discovered the institute and exploited it for its collection of knowledge. What she changed here is currently unknown. Later, werewolves found sanctuary in the den-like atmosphere, wreaking havoc on the place—raiding the mess hall of its food, smashing doors, and trailing blood, muddy paw prints through the halls. The werewolves also shattered the glass dire boars in their enclosure and dug a hole in the larger enclosure.

History

The building was constructed long ago and sanctified by Ehlonna. Later, the enclosures in the southern rooms were built to specifications.
