Purpose

Vera Vandrou is a halfling woman, born and raised in the Azure Hills. Throughout her life, she has had a great love for cooking and a great disdain for the local cuisine of her home. To combat this she set out on a culinary journey across the country, where she gathered every recipe she could find that was based on Blue Maple. She then spent several years perfecting the recipes and had them published in this book.

Historical Details

Public Reaction

People of the Azure Hills were skeptic at first. Mostly because they took pride in their own cooking skills and didn't need anyone else to come along and tell them how to do it. But those who got their hands on the book quickly realized that Vandrou wasn't exaggerating. Word spread slowly at first and then all at once. Within five years of the release of the book, it became a staple in most homes throughout the Blue Slopes.

Legacy

Not only did the book bolster the culinary efforts of those who read it, but the different techniques for treating the trees also helped farmers create new methods for how to cultivate their orchards.   Vandrou herself went on to write several more culinary books, but none as popular as her first publication.
