The History of Aspiria so far
Halinor used to be controlled by the Navarresean See, a holy empire that elevated their wizard-kings and queens as gods. This society built marvels that are unparalleled even to this day, but the cataclysms that so often shake this world were their undoing.
Current Species & Cultures
A multitude of species live here now! Elves do command a number of kingdoms still, especially in Halinor where the Navarresean influence was most strongly felt. The dwarves have shared their ancestral home with humans from the savannahs and deserts of D'yadya. Those vast lands have recently been home to an invading force of Vocirans, a human-like race from across the sea unable to work magic. They occupy the land now, displacing and ruling the humans and halflings that once called D'yadya home.
Needs & Relations
The dwarves have seen their own influence dim next to the hungry flame of the mercantile humans in their home--while at the same time see their culture and kingdom take on new lights and power.
The D'yadyans are eager to reclaim their homeland and to uproot Vociran occupation, but the Vocirans are on the hunt for new land to call their own, to help protect their own people who have seen much trouble in a magical world.
The elves seek to reclaim lost glory, but their magic and lifespans are nowhere near as bright as it was in the past. They are focused heavily inward, ignoring problems around them until it might well be too late.
